You have to keep up with your competitors with you want to stay on top. Just because you have the lead doesn’t mean you’re about to get passed. MySpace basked in it’s lead until it realized it had been passed by Facebook. Now scrambling to keep up, it has cut it’s top management in order to force an about face. Lesson: your competitors are always chasing you - don’t fall asleep and let your website and online marketing become dated.

Believe it or not, Twitter is not the playground of the young - actually the biggest group of users is the 45-54 age range. Users 12-24 are the least common users of the platform. So, this is a good indicator that Twitter is being used more for business purposes than entertainment.

A permanent domain name redirect tells Google your site is only one site in case someone links to your site using the www in front of your domain or not. You don’t want Google thinking your one site is two, and them dividing your page rank in half as a result.
